Athens & Sounion Day Tour

Tour Duration: 10 Hours

The Full Day Athens City and Cape Sounion tour will last approximately 10 hours and will give you the opportunity to visit some of the most famous sites in the city such as the historic Acropolis hill and the Acropolis Museum.

From the Acropolis, we will head to the famous Plaka district at the foot of the Acropolis, followed by a visit to the Temple of Olypian Zeus and the Andrianou Gate.

We then head next door to the Panathenaic Stadium, which was where the first modern Olympic Games took place. Following here we go to see the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

We will drive you down the Herod Atticus Street where you will see the Evzones, the Presidential Palace, and the National Gardens.

After exploring the sights of the city, we will be departing for the Cape of Sounion - an area with a spectacular view that is located approximately 60 km away from Athens city. On the way, you will get to enjoy the wonderful drive along the scenic Athenian Riviera and enjoy some spectacular views of the Saronic Gulf.

Arriving in Sounion you will have the opportunity to visit the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea.

The Temple of Poseidon is a remarkable site to see with breathtaking panoramic views stretching out over the sea with a number of islands visible. You can enjoy the spectacular sunset from this part of Attica region.

Our tour will end with dinner right by the sea, and then you can relax and enjoy our return trip back to Athens.
