The Full Day Athens City and Ancient Corinth tour will cover the same places as the Half Day Athens City tour but you will also make a day trip to the region of Corinth located in Peloponnese.
On our way we will drive westwards along the scenic coast to the amazing Corinth Canal which connects the Aegean with the Ionian Sea.
Our first destination will be the Ancient Agora (market) of Corinth and the Temple of Apollo. We will also visit the Archaeological Museum of Corinth.
The museum was built in 1931/32 by the architect W. Stuart Thompson and was extended towards the east in 1950.
It contains collections of prehistoric finds, various items ranging from the Geometric to the Hellenistic period, Roman and Byzantine finds, excavation finds from the Asklepieion of Corinth, and a collection of sculptures and inscriptions.
After leaving the Archaeological Museum you will visit Aero Corinth, the ancient castle located on top of the mountain above the old city. Before heading back to Athens we will have dinner to one of the many scenic restaurants in Ancient Corinth.
